The worlds most advanced case for RileyLink 1.0

Loop has changed the lives of thousands of Type 1 Diabetics by providing a hybrid closed loop system for insulin delivery, thereby drastically reducing the mental overhead of daily Diabetes management. This system relies on an open source Bluetooth enabled bridge, known as the RileyLink, to wirelessly link the users iPhone and Insulin pump. The RileyLink must be carried with the user at all times to maintain closed loop insulin delivery, so a case for the device must be simple and reliable enough to stand up to the rigors of daily carry under a variety of conditions. A case was developed to completely seal the device from dust and water ingress up to 1m for 30 minutes, while integrating Qi Wireless charging. The final case design was the result of more than 10 prototype iterations, incorporating feedback from user surveys and combined 150 days of hand carry. The final design was tooled and injection molded in Polycarbonate.
